Living close to Washington D.C. has given me ample opportunities to photograph some of the sites in the district. I get to break out my camera and to challenge myself.
My earliest memory of me aspiring to be a photographer started when I was 12 years old when the lady I was babysitting or gave me a 110 camera and then I upgraded to a Kodak disc camera. My life as I had known it would never be the same. I spent a good chunk of my babysitting earnings buying either discs or 110 film and paying to have them developed. The anxiety I would experience waiting five to seven day for my photos to come back was unbearable.
Today, I’ve upgraded to a Canon DSLR that I don’t get to use as much as I would like but this year I hope to get back to one of my creative passions.
